Many congratulations to Brian for his incredible and fantastic flight around the world!

Unbelievable but true!!!

We are proud that he and Keith Reynolds did stop on the second day (25. March) of this flight here in Kempten/Germany. We had invited them to come on their first leg to Kempten and to stay over night. Brian agreed because Kempten is a very good starting point for crossing the alps. But unfortunately Brian and Keith had a puncture and had therefore to stay at France.

On Wednesday the 25th March we had prepared all for the expected arrival of the Global Flyer. But once more there was a delay: The pilot of the camera-trike got frozen fingers an had to land on a road near by Konstanz.

Finally at about 13.00 GMT the two microlights touched down in Kempten. The runway was a little bit snowy, but this caused no problems. Brian wanted to go over the alps as fast as possible because the weather was quite good - only the temperature was very cold. The forecast did not expect good weather conditions for the following days.

After welcoming, taking photographs, giving interviews and autographs Brian and Keith refuelled and were leaving Kempten shortly after 14.00 GMT.

Takeoff was a little bit tricky because of the snow, but Keith who was the pilot on this day managed all well. We guided the Global Flyer and the camera-trike some miles into the alps, but had soon to return because of the very cold temperature. In the warm airfield-pub drinking some beer with Barrie Bayes the camera man and his pilot we expected the good arrival of Brian and Keith in Trento/Italy. At about 16.45 GMT we got the call from Brian that all went well an they had a save touchdown in Trento. The only problem was some trouble with the italian authorities, but this seems to be normal in that country.

Once more many many congratulations for this exceptional flight around the world to Brian Milton but also to Keith Reynolds from us here in Kempten. Greetings also to Barrie Bayes and his pilot!
