Simple in concept like all good inventions, the Trike (Weightshift) Autoland Tool allows the novice pilot who is having difficulty knowing when to flare to simply concentrate on maintaining a constant rate of descent. The device is an angled aluminium extrusion hinged at the keel so that as the rear end of the tube contacts the ground the forward end executes a progressive flare, alowing the novice to TWAT the aircraft safely onto the runway.
